Am I Crazy orDoes Amazon Not want 3rd Party Sellers Anymore??
I'm so confused. In the years and years we've been here, just seems that by all the horrible changes and terrible treatment, and suffocation through algorythm changes, price hikes,............death by slow cuts.......that the answer is a loud and resounding NO. Am I crazy?

Nope. Now that the name brand companies are getting involved directly with the platform to sell their goods it absolutely looks like amazon is pushing out any small sellers.

Maybe it's anecdotal, but I do see a pattern of reputable sellers being pushed out. We got suspended after 10 years of selling, with $6m/year, 500 orders/day volume.

I am so sorry for you, it is really disheartening

Restricted products - they flagged us for air rifle pellets being ammunition (while Amazon continues selling the same ASINs) and they refuse to accept any appeals. We're going to arbitration through our lawyers.
So, it doesn't matter how big you are. If they want you out, they will push you out. And it seems that resellers are on the chopping block. Amazon wants to deal with brands directly and also they want to cater to Chinese manufacturers.
And, they make their money on ads anyway, so the product itself is just an afterthought.

I remember reading your forum post about when you received the ban hammer not long ago. Sorry to hear that they did not correct their issue (ex: plants and seeds category error ) like others received. I wish they had actual people of importance within the company personally reviewing our issues to make changes for the better. ( although that will likely not happen.

Same. We're doing $14m/year and got deactivated.

Nope its not about reputation as I see it. More about willingness to adapt to new circumstances. If youre not up for that... bye with no regrets, thats an afwul policy. Gonna become second ebay

what does it mean to go through arbitration through lawyers? will they help you reactiavate your account or will they just get your funds/inventory back?

Amazon is completely hostile to small American businesses. This is intentional, this treatment. The idea is suck all the life from the small businesses that sell here. Metaphorically drain every drop of blood out of our bodies and then throw our corpses to the side once we drop dead.

They are a multi-billion dollar business built on the backs of small third-party sellers. Like most big corporations, they go where the profit is. Low volume third-party sellers are only a very tiny percentage of their sales and profits, which means they don't really need us. Not really a surprise, really. Big corporations have been cheating the "little guy" for decades. Amazon is just one more on the list. If you're not high-volume, or high profit, your days are probably numbered. I'm one of them, by the way.

What is going on with Amazon is truly mindboggling. I am not a big multi million dollar company but I was doing pretty good. In 2023 I paid $92,254.49 in selling fees. So far this year it is $7382.29.
It does not seem as though they are making wise choices pushing small business away. It seems they are not seeing the benefit we small business brought to the table. Now they are not even giving us crumbs or a chair to set at the table.
It makes me sad to see all the hard work I have put into Amazon fall away.

Amazon wants small sellers as long as the small sellers play by the rules and adapt, unless your from China and then its a different set of rules.
However if they can get the brands to come on directly, they want them too.
I said to someone in the jewelry business once, they ( Amazon people) arent at the trade shows looking for me, they are here looking for my suppliers.

We were high-volume and we still got the axe.
