looking for help
Hello, I was just reading about your situation with the ungating. I am looking for someone with your experience to help me get started. I have an account, but dont really know what im doing. I think if I had someone who I could run questions by it would help me tremendous. I was just reaching out to see if you would be interested in being that person for me?

Stop! No one has time to hold your hand on Amazon. No one will hold your hand here at all.
Put your account on vacation mode.
Spend at least 1 week (yes week, not day) going through Seller University until you understand it.
Spend at least 1 to 2 days reading and rereading Terms Of Service so you're next post is not "How does Amazon get away with this?"
Come back here with any questions you have after that.
@Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp has a much more detailed template of steps for getting started but for now start with what I'm telling you.

Here you won't get an answer because private messages are technically not possible.
Of course, you will find a mentor out there, there are thousands willing to take your money. But better do what we all did: take 4-5 weeks and learn here:

Perhaps some research would help. Most of us didn't know anything about Amazon or how it works when we first started.
I went on Seller University and read it over & over & over again. Thankfully I didn't go on You Tube & listen to people tell me its easy.
I will admit, I have my own product, so I didn't need to get ungated, but with some research, maybe you can find something to sell that isn't gated. I, personally don't know what still available, as Amazon is saturated at this point. Dig deep to find something unique.
Lastly, be patient if you do find something. Its not a get rich quick place anymore. Thousands are applying to sell everyday. I never want to be negative, but I don't want you to lose your savings either.

Since @Seller_qTJiCxRI8PpIZ mentioned me (and I had to pick my son up at the airport after a business trip with multiple flight delays) I am up later than normal.
I think this might be the template they refer to but I have a lot of them. This one explains my latest interpretation of what Amazon APPEARS to be actually doing, rather than what they say they are doing. It is a vital distinction between the words and the deeds!
THE AMAZON TWO STEP -- A NEW DANCE FOR SELLERS
More and more frequently Amazon is taking a TWO STEP approach and you are probably caught with not doing one of the steps (or either one!)
You may be confusing AMAZON allowing you to list (or at least "ungate") an item or category and actually being APPROVED to sell a product. Amazon might ungate you for a CATEGORY, but there can be 100's of brands in the category and they ALL have their own restrictions.
AMAZON is only interested in FEES. They will allow a chimpanzee to list if it means they collect $$$$$.
Additionally, brands that you COULD sell yesterday may be restricted today or next week. Amazon is a moving target to deal with.
DO YOU have an LOA from the brand allowing you to sell on here?
If you have an LOA that specifically says you can sell on Amazon you MIGHT survive listing items.
More and more brands are providing a "whitelist" of their approved sellers and if YOU are NOT on the list you will be stopped in your tracks and probably hit with an IP violation.
DID YOU source from AUTHORIZED wholesale sources that your rep at the brand says are OK? You DO have a sales rep at the brand, don't you?
NOTE the verification is required from the brand that the source is legitimate and authorized, NOT from one of those touted on TikTok and YouTube as having "thousands of brands and products" that assures you that they are authorized.
If you have watched any YouTube or TikTok videos FORGET everything you saw there.
As mentioned by @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC spend hours/days on Seller U and read the Forum daily to see all the really creative ways rookies and even experienced sellers find to get suspended by ignoring the advice above!

If you don't already have the above requirements in place you are probably going to have stranded inventory (if you do FBA) and a suspended account.

Pay attention to this recent story in the Amazon 'news' from September 25, 2024.
Sellers were given a 5 day warning that this was being put in place. Sellers have posted that LOAs are required in Europe, so you can see the handwriting on the walls -- this is coming for EVERYTHING on Amazon eventually!
