Listing product without Brand Approval
Hi,
Can I list product and send the shipment to Amazon wareshouse for FBA and later apply for brand approval? Is it possible to do so or the only way is to first get the brand approval and then list products (if I'm planning to register the brand in future)?
Please advise!

If you want to keep your account, you need approval first (and not just Amazon approval, you will also need brand approval).

Good Evening @Seller_aRg2C1jLKcd1j,
It looks like you were able to get an answer to your question from one of our seasoned sellers, @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9.
If their response helped you, feel free to mark it as “Most Helpful reply” using the 3 dots in the corner of their post. Just in case others have the same issue, the Most Helpful Reply feature brings the selected response right to the top of your thread. Sellers will be able to see the answer right away as your discussion will have a green checkmark when searched within the forums.
I also wanted to share two help pages about around best practices when sourcing products to sell on Amazon:
- Addresses Guidelines to source products to sell on Amazon
- Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell
These guidelines will very depending on what category you would like to sell in. For certain products, brands, categories, and sub-categories, we require sellers to obtain approval before listing products. The approval process may include document requests, performance checks, and other qualifications. To learn more about that process click here.
Also for the question:
As @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 alluded to, listing a product as generic but is branded goes against the Amazon Generic Product Policy. Using another brand’s Intellectual Property in your generic product listing, or listing a branded product as generic, are violations of our listing policies.
Besides the help pages above, I would encourage you to review Seller University to help get you started on your selling journey that way you can avoid unnecessary fees, confusion about how to add a product and be aware of penalties that may occur on your Selling Account if policies are broken.
If you are not a part of the New Seller Community, I would highly suggest joining and reviewing the content in that group as well. Please let me know if you have any additional questions regarding the information provided above. May the sales be with you and have a great rest of your week.
Cheers, Cooper_Amazon
