Your On-Time Delivery Rate is 50%; the target is 90%.
How are we to combat this when we ship products out on time? The delay is in the delivery not in the shipment. We can't control this.

The OTDR is a new metric Amazon started in September last year. It's negatively impacted many sellers, especially sellers using USPS or ground shipping. It's basically a sneaky method to force you to use FBA and/or buy Amazon Shipping labels to have "OTDR Protection." We have been forced to ship everything priority, which has increased our shipping costs by about 30%. We are now looking at Amazon Shipping versus USPS and setting up our shipping profile to include the handling and SAS automation to be eligible for OTDR Protection. It's a very frustrating move by Amazon to push smaller sellers out of the market and to put more money into their pockets.

Amazon now harms sellers for USPS, UPS & Fedex shipments with shipping purchased through Amazon shipped on time however had delay in transit or weather event is is now our fault the sellers! This new metric is designed with intent to harm you the seller.

Yes, you can.
You have to enable SSA and AHT in your shipping templates/preferences in order to be protected from late deliveries.

If you really want to puke, print out the OTDR report and see how many infractions you have for packages that were not delivered within a specified time of the day. I've been cited for late packages that were promised on 2/22/24 @ 0700hrs and they were delivered on 2/22/24 @ 1500hrs. This is for standard shipping, not time of day critical. I had to adjust my handling time to two days and stretch the shipping time out in shipping settings. Considering that I ship out same day or next day we get the order, I feel like this is completely unfair since we are not in control of the packages once they leave our facility.
