Order handling time not being used for FBM orders?

We have set up our shipping settings to use seller set handling times at individual sku level for our products since we are a manufactuer and typically make our products to order. However, even with these sku level handling times being set to 2 days of handling time, we have orders that are coming in with an expected same day ship date as the order is placed. What is the point of the handling time being 2 days if we're then required to ship the order the same day? To add onto this, we have a default handling time set for 1 day, so how would an order received be expected to ship on the same day? Am I missing a setting to activate adding handling time to orders?

I have edited our location's order cut off time to be 1am while trying to figure this out, in hopes that if an order comes in between 12:00am and 1:00am we would have that inventory available, but this seems like a workaround that should not have to be done when Amazon should have functionality in place that adds handling time based on the sku handling time function.

Depending on how you set it up, you may have individual handling time overwriting it. Look at one of your listings. When you go to edit listing then the offer tab, under handling time does it say 1? If so they you need to manually update each handling time, not with the handling time template.

I always use a file upload to change mind in bulk. You can use the price/quantity file to do it easily.

What does your handling time settings show in your shipping settings? If automated handling time has been enabled, then I believe that will override what has been set at a SKU level.
